The DIY Christmas tree is one of those great holiday mysteries. As residents of the 21st century, we like to revisit our more primitive roots once a year and hike out into the woods with a saw to cut down the best-looking tree we can find. It’s an amazing tradition; one that defies our love of modern comfort and convenience for a reminder of Christmas traditions long past, living off the land, frontier know-how and hard, hard work. We say, why leave your home to get your fix of mountain pine?
